Richard has 40+ years of experience in systems administration and software engineering in the Linux ecosystem. Today he serves as the VP of Engineering and CIO at Crafty Penguins, where he leads technical strategy and engineering excellence with a focus on Linux-based systems and scalable infrastructure. He completed BCIT diplomas in Robotics & Automation and Electronics Technology: Computer Control. He spent the 1990s managing IT systems as Manager of Information Systems for the Cunningham Group of Companies.
