Abstract
We'll start by exploring blockchain fundamentals, focusing on Ethereum Layer 1 (L1) and its immutability, while distinguishing it from Layer 2 (L2) solutions like Polygon that address scalability. We'll discuss Ethereum's smart contracts, created by Vitalik Buterin, and their transformative role in Finance 2.0 through DeFi protocols like Uniswap and AAVE. The hands-on session will guide participants in setting up wallets, understanding private keys, and connecting to the Sepolia testnet to obtain test ETH. Using Hardhat and Solidity, we'll develop and deploy an ERC-20 token, covering minting, allocation, and contract interaction for a complete blockchain development experience.
